Police Officer Vacancy

The UNCG Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer I.

The application period begins April 6, 2008 and the deadline for this position is April 18, 2008.

MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR EMPLOYMENT

•  Must be at least 21 years old

•  Be a United States citizen

•  Currently possess or be able to obtain a valid NC Drivers License

•  Graduation from high school or GED

•  Have an Honorable Military Discharge, if applicable

•  Successful completion of a certified Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy

•  Be in good physical health

•  Pass an entry level written examination & physical ability test

•  Pass an extensive background investigation including psychological, medical, and drug screening examinations

•  Have not been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor

 

SALARY

•  $31,643 - $54,147 (Career Banding Schedule PO I)

•  Additional 10% Shift Differential for Night Time Assignments.

•  Officers possessing an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree will receive an additional 2.5%, 5%, or 7.5%.
