Campus Crime Log

In accordance with NC General Statue ยง 132-1.4, Public Information Law, the following is considered public record: (1) The time, date, location, and nature of a violation reported to the police. (2) The name, sex, age, address, employment, and alleged violation of a person arrested, charged, or indicted. (3) The circumstances surrounding an arrest, including the time and place of the arrest, as well as a description of any items seized in connection with the arrest.

Clery Report

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is the landmark federal law, originally known as the Campus Security Act, that requires colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses.

Because the law is tied to participation in federal student financial aid programs it applies to most institutions of higher education both public and private. It is enforced by the U.S. Department of Education.

Sex Offender Registry

The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website, coordinated by the Department of Justice, is a cooperative effort between the state agencies hosting public sexual offender registries and the federal government. This web site is a search tool allowing a user to submit a single national query to obtain information about sex offenders through a number of search options.

Adverse Weather

Details will be available on the Triad's four television stations: WFMY-TV (News 2), WGHP-TV (FOX 8), WXII-TV (News Channel 12) and WXLV-TV (ABC 45). Area radio stations also will be contacted, but the primary information outlets will be the campus telephone extensions and the television stations. Students, faculty and staff can receive details by dialing the Adverse Weather Line at (336) 334-4400.

Traffic Safety

The UNCG Police Department continues to maintain an ongoing commitment to traffic safety and motorist education. Traffic safety has historically been one of the most significant issues identified in citizen surveys over the years. The Traffic Safety Unit was formed to help address these concerns, making our community and roadways safer for all.
