In October 2019 the UNCG Police answered 1257 calls for service; mostly for safety walks, welfare checks, suspicious activity and fire alarms but also includes; 13 disturbance calls, 34 traffics collisions, 32 narcotics violations, 9 larcenies, 11 hit and runs, and 31 medical calls. The officers made 51 arrests to include; 1 failure to appear, 11 order for arrest, 4 possession of marijuana, 1 simple assault, 1 warrant for arrest, 2 simple possession of schedule VI CS, 12 driving while impaired, 2 resist, delay or obstruct, 3 driving under the influence, 1 all other larcenies, 1 weapons law violations, 1 possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, 1 possession of firearms by felon, 1 1/2 oz or less marijuana, 1 possession of marijuana less than 1/2 ounce, 1 possession of stolen goods, 1 felony possession of scheduled IV CS, 1 assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, 1 driving after consuming by person under 21, 1 inhaling toxic fumes, 2 consumption of alcohol under age, and 1 failed to stop at the scene of crash.
