In January 2020 the UNCG Police answered 994 calls for service; mostly for vehicle stops, secure / unsecured calls, fire status, fire trouble, and fire alarms but also includes; 80 suspicious activity calls, 38 safety walks, 59 assist other agency calls, 28 check phones, 27 assist motorist/disabled vehicle, 23 medical calls, 25 narcotics violations, 34 assist subjects, 15 traffic accidents, 29 burglary / intrusion, 19 larceny, 9 hit and run, 1 stalking, 1 fight, 2 discharge firearms, 3 trespass, 2 damage to property, 2 auto theft, 2 gas leak, 2 sexual assault, and 1 disturbance calls. The officers made 46 arrests to include; 4 order for arrest, 3 simple possession of schedule VI CS, 1 warrant for arrest, 14 driving while impaired, 1 speeding to elude, 2 open container of alcoholic beverage in passenger area, 1 resist, delay, obstruct, 1 misdemeanor larceny, 1 breaking and entering of motor vehicles, 1 felony possession of schedule I cs, 2 weapons on school or campus, 1 failure to report accident, 1 simple possession of marijuana, 1 carry concealed gun / pistol without permit, 1 failed to stop at scene of crash, 1 no operator’s license, 1 unsafe movement, 2 aggravated possession schedule IV, 1 hit and run, 1 larceny less than $1,000.00, 1 felony possession of marijuana, 1 duty to stop in event of a crash, 1 driving while license revoked, 2 injuring or tampering with vehicle.
