Interested in Applying – Filling out the interest form is the first step in being hired by the UNCG Police Department. We will not accept any applications until we have an opening, those on the Employment Interest List will be notified via mail or e-mail that the UNCG Police Department is accepting applications.

Student Employment – The UNCG Police Department offers part-time positions to students. Once hired, the student will then be trained in the Student Ranger Program. Specific requirements to be a ranger include:
- Must be in good standing with the university and not be on academic probation.
- Must not be on student disciplinary probation or have any pending charges. If you are placed on disciplinary probation or are charged criminally, you must notify your supervisor immediately. Failure to do so will result in automatic dismissal.
- Must not have any felony or serious misdemeanor charges.
